USP

One of the few social schedulers with a permanently free plan that includes six channels.

The free plan is the reason to look

Most social schedulers stopped offering a free tier years ago. Zoho Social still has one, and it is not a trial: one brand with six channels — X, Instagram, a Facebook Page, a LinkedIn profile and company page, and a Google Business Profile — plus one team member, five AI credits and email support five days a week. For a freelancer publishing to their own accounts, that is the whole job at no cost.

The paid ladder starts low too. Standard is $10 a month billed annually, and Zoho's own label for the tier is "solopreneurs" — which is unusually honest positioning. It widens the same single brand from six channels to twelve, adding YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok.

Premium$40/month1 brand, 14 channelsMedium and large enterprise
Agency$230/monthmultiple brandsAgencies
Agency Plus$330/month+10 brands (140 channels)Large agencies

Two notes on reading that table. The prices shown are annual rates — the pricing page defaults to them and advertises 33% off for paying yearly, so month-to-month billing costs more than the figures above. And the gap between Premium at $40 and Agency at $230 is not a typo: there is nothing in between.

The Brand maths, which is the whole decision

Zoho does not count accounts or users the way its competitors do. It counts Brands, and a Brand is a fixed bundle of channels. Every paid tier — including Premium at $40 — includes exactly one.

That makes Zoho Social extremely cheap for one purpose and quietly expensive for another:

What that means in practice
  • One brand — your own channels: $0 or $10 a month, hard to beat
  • Already using Zoho CRM or Desk: Professional at $30 connects social to records you already keep
  • Three clients: Professional plus two extra brands at $14.50 = $59 a month, not $30
  • More than five extra brands: Professional caps out, and the next real step is Agency at $230

Extra brands cost $14.50 a month on Professional and $19.50 on Premium (annual rates; $17 and $23 monthly), and Professional allows a maximum of five. Team members are more forgiving — a flat $10 per member per month annually, $12 monthly, rather than a forced jump to a higher tier.

When the Zoho ecosystem decides it

The feature that separates Professional from Standard is not scheduling — it is Zoho CRM and Zoho Desk integration, along with UTM parameters, content targeting and custom roles. If you already run Zoho CRM, social conversations land against records you keep anyway, and $30 buys something no standalone scheduler offers at that price.

If you do not use Zoho, that integration is worth nothing to you, and the honest comparison is against schedulers judged on their own merits. There the picture changes: Later at $25 does visual planning better, and Zoho's advantage narrows to price and the free plan — which, to be fair, are two real advantages.

Reputation

Trustpilot lists 3.9 out of 5 from roughly 6,100 reviews. That score covers Zoho as a company rather than Zoho Social specifically, so treat it as a signal about the vendor you would be buying from. Praise concentrates on ease of use and managing several accounts in one dashboard. The recurring complaint is support — slow responses and difficulty reaching someone who can resolve a technical problem — alongside unexpected billing charges and licensing transparency. For a $10 tool that is a fair trade; for a $230 agency plan it is worth testing support before committing.

What we like about Zoho Social and what we don't

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • A permanent free plan with six channels — rare in this category
  • Standard at $10 is among the cheapest paid entry points for social scheduling
  • Zoho CRM and Desk integration if you already run the ecosystem
  • Team members are a flat $10/month add-on rather than a forced tier upgrade

Cons

  • Everything is counted in Brands — a second client costs $14.50–19.50 extra per month
  • Agency plans jump from $40 straight to $230
  • The pricing page defaults to annual rates; monthly billing costs more
  • Support quality is the most common complaint across Zoho's public reviews

Alternatives worth knowing

Later starts at $25 and is the stronger tool if Instagram and TikTok are your main channels. Vista Social covers thirteen networks plus review management at $79 — a different class of tool for a different job. Buffer remains the leanest option for text-first posting. Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Zoho Social cost in 2026?

There is a permanently free plan (1 brand, 6 channels, 1 team member). Paid tiers billed annually: Standard $10/month, Professional $30, Premium $40. Agency plans are separate at $230 and $330. The pricing page shows annual rates by default and advertises 33% off for paying yearly, so monthly billing costs noticeably more. Correct as of September 2026 — check current rates at zoho.com/social/pricing.

What is a “Brand”, and why does it matter?

This is the part that decides whether Zoho Social is cheap or expensive for you. A Brand is a fixed bundle of channels, not an account: six on the free plan, twelve on Standard and Professional, fourteen on Premium. Every paid tier includes exactly one. Post for yourself and $10 buys a lot. Post for three clients and you need Professional plus two extra brands at $14.50 each — $59 a month, not $30.

Is the free plan actually usable?

Yes, within one brand. You get six channels — X, Instagram, Facebook Page, LinkedIn profile and company page, and a Google Business Profile — plus one team member, five AI credits and 24/5 email support. For a freelancer publishing their own accounts, that covers the job without paying anything. YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok arrive at Standard.

Zoho Social or Buffer/Later?

Decide on ecosystem, not features. If you already use Zoho CRM or Zoho Desk, Professional wires social conversations into records you already keep — that integration is the reason to choose it. If you do not use Zoho, you are picking a scheduler on its own merits, and Later ($25) is stronger for visual planning while Buffer is leaner for text-first channels. Zoho wins on price and on the free plan.

What do users complain about?

Across Zoho's public reviews the recurring theme is support: slow responses and difficulty reaching someone who can resolve a technical issue. Unexpected billing charges and licensing transparency also come up. Trustpilot shows 3.9 out of 5 across roughly 6,100 reviews — that covers Zoho as a whole rather than Social specifically, so read it as a signal about the company you would be buying from, not about this product's features.

Verdict

Zoho Social is the cheapest serious way to schedule social posts, and one of very few tools in the category with a free plan you can stay on indefinitely. Before you compare it on price alone, check the Brand maths: every paid tier includes exactly one brand, so an agency running three clients pays $59 rather than the $30 on the label. For a freelancer posting their own channels — especially one already inside Zoho CRM or Desk — it is very hard to beat at $10 a month. For anyone managing several clients, the per-brand surcharge quietly erases the price advantage.
