Fastlancer was born out of a simple need: cutting through the noise to find the tools that actually matter. Whether you're a freelancer, self-employed professional, or building a side business or online venture — we've been there. Instead of spending hours hunting for the right solution for project management, accounting, or creative work, we put everything in one place.
There's no corporation behind this. Just experienced independents who test tools, write from personal experience, and share recommendations we'd genuinely give a friend or colleague.
Our goal: make your working life a little easier — less searching, more doing, with tools and tips that actually move the needle.
How We Test Tools
Every tool that appears on Fastlancer has been tested by us in actual freelance work — not in a controlled setting. We create accounts, put the core features through their paces over multiple days or weeks, and note what genuinely works and what falls short.
Our assessments focus on four criteria: usability (how quickly can you get up and running?), feature depth (does it cover what freelancers actually need?), value for money (is the subscription worth it for a solo operator?), and support (does the provider actually help when something goes wrong?).
Tools we actively recommend have passed all four criteria convincingly. Some are linked via affiliate partnerships — that does not influence our assessment. If we don't like something, we don't recommend it, regardless of whether a partner program exists.
